Republic Day was celebrated with great pomp in 75 at various places in Azamgarh. Flag hoisting took place at various places and the national anthem was played. The most spectacular program took place on the ground of Police Lines where a spectacular parade was organized by the police department.
The contingents of soldiers thrilled everyone with their discipline, fitness and coordination. Divisional Commissioner Manish Chauhan, present here as the chief guest, hoisted the flag and took the salute of the parade. The Divisional Commissioner also honored 60 employees for their excellent service. Municipality Chairman Sarfaraz Alam Mansoor hoisted the flag at the office of Azamgarh Municipal Council. At the same time, SDM Sadar Gyanchand Gupta hoisted the flag in Sadar Tehsil complex. During this, Tehsildar Naik Tehsildar along with other employees and revenue personnel were present, everyone sang the national anthem and after that the oath was taken. 75th Republic Day was also celebrated with great pomp at Kashiram Awas Jafarpur.
